Whoa! CAme back from SPARC camp and I must say it was very exciting! haha! Too tired yesterday so slept after I came back, I think I must be really tired from all the non-sleeping and planning! haha!
Well, the first day of camp was a bit late for me, cause Alec only came to fetch me like 3+am in the morning! WEll, had a fun time that night, went around Singapore. That includes shopping in the wee hours of the morning at Mustafa. haha! Very fun! Then later, went back to camp and was already like 5pm. Slept like 2 hours before waking up to the camp day itself! hah! In the camp, we really had lots of fun.
The first day was spent in Sentosa. The main event at Sentosa was postpone for like 3 hours and Yong Hong and me had to wait. We slept and bought drinks from 7-Eleven and yet, they were not here. Only after like lots of waiting hours did the come.
Ok, got to go now, Need to pack stuff at School.

Here is the second part to the previous post! Happy viewing~! Here's a pic of a structure which seems to look like a Guard's Quater use by those on duty.

Heres a pic from the side of the barracks. Notice that there is a sign put up by the NUS excavators.

You can see that the toliets back then were quite modern, they are equipped with modern flushing system instead of the bucket system which is in use that time.

Here's a pic of the cleared site of Fort Serapong. Notice the metals stumps of nails at the gun emplacement. They used to hold one of the most powerful guns in the world!

Here's a pic of the flooded ecavation site done by the NUS team. They did not have a drainage system in place when excavation was in process, thereby making it flood. Much flooding like this can be seen around the excavated fort and some of them have even bred mosquitos!

Here's my friend Geng Li from the 30SCE! hah! He's carrying with him the ropes that Mr Tan had brought from school for us to descend into the tunnel later. Notice that the corner painting of the floor is well preserved by the soil. Thanks Mother Nature!

In this pic is Sherwin, currently in Navy's SISPEC, scratching his leg from all the mosquito bites. you can see the battery commmand post from the pic. Notice that the structure is built with a flat roof and rather low and flat towards the ground. This is because they would want to get minimal sight from enemy warships. They also have an all round view from the battery command post so as make the correct and accurate decision for the guns to fire upon.

I'm in this pic! Yeah! I am wearing my SAF combat boots, BK1 Brute, Camera and 2C Maglite around my waist belt. Behind me is a closer pic of the battery command post.

Here's another view of the Command Post. Note that the Windows go slightly more then 180 degrees in area of sight. In the pic, Yong Xian can be seen taking pics of another part of the fort.

Here's a pic from inside the Command Post. Note the break off at the left bottom corner of the pic, it is going to the Range finder which is situated at the bottom part of the Command Post.

Here's a pic of the steps leading to the Range finder.
Here's the stairs that leads all the way down to the Casemates where the Shells are loaded onto the guns! Notice that the stairs from the Command post is cleared which is previousl totally covered by the undergrowth.

The entrance to the 4 stories high tunnel! The red tapes are most probably put up by the NUS excavation team.

Geng Li has descended into the Tunnel. All safety checks are inplace and safety is paramount. The condition of the ladder is uncertain there fore we are using nylon rope to descend down into the tunnel. Before this, a lamp was lowered down to check how deep the tunnle is and also to check the condition of the ladder. According to Geng li, the ladder feels rather solid.

Notice that while Geng Li is in the tunnel exploring, the rest of the members are outside supporting by talking to him constantly and also belaying the safety rope.

After a long day, we got out and finally saw daylight again.

We'll be going again, soon, but this time, with the secondary school kids! YEah! Make them excited!

WEnt out on Saturday with Mr Malcom Tan, Sherwin, Yong Xian and 3 other friends to Fort Serapong! YEah, it was a very fun adventure! Shall post pics for you guys to see!
Here's a pic of a snake which I have yet to learn to identify one! haha! Think it's a tree snake

.
Here's a pic of some guys who went. Notice that they are downstairs and are waiting one by one to climb up via the side of the stairs. ( The stairs is broken)

Here's a pic of the gun position. It is in quite a bad shape as the British did blow this position up to prevent it to be landed in Japanese hands. It is the upper level of the previous pic.
A pic of the gun emplacement.

View from inside one of the firing position.
Notice the white dots in the pic, it is known as orbs. From wad I read in SPI website, they are actually spirits of people who still linger around that are, very scary.
A view of the same firing post from outside.

Oh, yesterday was a fine day. Actually, Best day!
Had duty in the morning and met up with the RSAF recruitment officer whom I met also at Air force open house. Had a good chat though. Did duty with Derek, Izzat, Sarah, Crystal, Fiona, Bryan, Olivia and Cynthia. We had fun and lots of laughter at Convention hall. After that it was back to lessons at LT18A where Maths was fun, as usual, we leran much from maths! haha! Dunno why I like maths suddenly.
Well, rushed back home after that. Had a quick bath and changed. Went to Vivo City after that for the IMF appreciation dinner. Met up with the rest of the guys and gal and we had lots of fun. We had to queue to go up to meet Lee Hsein Loong. At last, we made it to the top, Jamie Yeo and some other guy was the MC for the day. After sometime of waiting, Mr Lee arrived! hah! , He talked about the IMF experience that other delegates had told him about and after that he walk to the reception. We too went away to had our dinner. We had a hard time finding a place to sit down, and when we finally sat down, and bought our food. As Alec went around to ask those CYA people for their unused coupons, we ended up with lots of food on our table! ha! We actually had a hard time to eat up all the food. After eating, we strolled around the open air building top and then went home. The year 3 had a gathering at Coffe bean after that while Izzat, Joel and me had a nice long chat at Macdonalds. Finally, we went home. hah@! Over all it was a great day.
Today was a great day too, but not as good. When I'm on my way home, saw Izzat at Bugis MRT, he was on his way back to school to do some work. Well, really hope tomorrow will be a better day.
God Bless.

HELo all, today's been quite a boring day.
Woke up late and all, then in the afternoon, went to Sheares to look if the shirt I wanted is here but nevertheless, it's not here yet. Stayed around to look at the knife polishing process and reliase that sand paper is used instead of of the sharpening stone. well, a very interesting precess I must say. I also overheard the conversation of the Commandos and the store owner. haha, it seems that the store has quite alot of military backing.
Left after that to Bencoolean to lok at Seiko watches. Felt that it's time to get myself a formal watch.

This watch seems to be quite good and it fits my critirea. Would scout more on the price of this watch. One of this days, I will go down to Mustafa to take a look at their products there. Heard that they are selling Fox 40 whistles at a good price! haha, have to take a look for myself.
haha, tomorrow's Sunday, hope it's an exciting day for me! yeah!!!!

HElo! Long time no blog, actually, no time to.
Saturday was the Musical and it was fantastic. Saw many of my SPARC friends there, and some COMPEREs too. The musical was funny, but the most funny part is that Vicky Quek is also in it! Making it even more funny! HAHA! The worst part, she's acting as a Policewomen! And Please, she has no rank and yet she is wearing the bush jacket, they just don't do enough research! haha!
Anyway, had lots of fun there and the PSI hit 150 that night, it looked like Genting, except maybe it's hot outside? haha. Went home on the second last train and chatted with Yong Hon and Joscelyn on MSN till late night, or rather morning.
WEll, School as usually today and we went home earlier today, as usual. Went shopping for a pair of slippers with Nasik at Suntec and he finally found one at Carrefour. haha! Walked so long just to buy a pair of slipper, can't he just buy at the shoe shop in the market, as if one can see the design on the slipper once you wear it, unless you are invisible, which is not the case. haha! Oh well, some people are sure diffrent from the others.
Later going to my Cousin's wedding dinner and can't wait as I will also be meeting my other cousins as well.
God Speed.
