Kansas
Oh, I have walked in Kansas
Through many a harvest field,
And piled the sheaves of glory there
And down the wild rows reeled:
Each sheaf a little yellow sun,
A heap of hot-rayed gold;
Each binder like Creation's hand
To mould suns, as of old.
-Vachel Lindsey.
Whoa, today must be a tough day. Lessons ended like 11.30am when we complete our CSW.
Went eating and collected my MRP rabbit skull after lunch. The lab tech said that due to the FDM machine, the base broke off from the skull. But that's a easy problem to solve and we quickly used a industrial glue to glue it together. After that, we wrote down our group member's name and submitted it to our lecturer.
AFter that, went off to Pioneer SEc for my weekly dose of UG activity. Today had basic fire fighting course for my cadets and station 14 was called down to assist us. I had gone through the theory part of the fire extinguisher and hose reel drill with them just the previous week. Today, they learnt how to use the extinguisher and how to operate the fire hose. Although it had rained abit, they managed to do the practical part in the end as the rain stopped shortly after. From their feedback, them all seem to be very interested with fire extinguisher and it seem very cool to all of them.
Well, it seemed all well for them as they are rather practical people.
After the test, dismissed them at about 6pm and went home. It seemed good over all, except the last part where they had to march back to the room to get their bag, they were practically "shit" as they had described for themselves. Well, besides some moaning and groaning from them, they were all ok. Well, tomorrow they'll be having a combined training with the rest of the UGs in school for their NDP parade in school, this year the parade is planned and executed by NCC. Hope they can live up to uphold their good image and prove others wrong.
